Itinerary Day By Day
You will be picked up and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive and lunch.
Renowned for its tree-climbing lions and abundant elephant herds, Lake Manyara National Park welcomes visitors with its entrance nestled within a jungle-like groundwater forest. This lush habitat is inhabited by a significant population of olive baboons and blue monkeys. At a certain point during your game drive, consider stepping out of the safari Jeep for a refreshing break. The hippo pool presents an excellent opportunity to stretch your legs and observe these fascinating creatures up close. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
A game drive in the Serengeti Ndutu region offers a prime opportunity to witness the great migration. From December to March, vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles gather for calving season, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The area’s open plains and acacia woodlands provide excellent wildlife viewing and birdwatching, with off-road driving allowed for closer encounters. With fewer crowds than central Serengeti, the Ndutu region is ideal for spotting big cats and enjoying breathtaking landscapes. It is perfect for those seeking predator-prey action and stunning photographic opportunities. You will be picked up in the morning for the transfer game drive to Ndutu. After the lunch break, proceed with the afternoon game before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, proceed with the morning game drive in Ndutu Serengeti until the afternoon. Witness the great wildebeest migration and the calving season with thousands of newborns and predators on the hunt. You will have lunch and transfer with a game drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, prepare for the final leg of your safari adventure as you journey from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Crater in the morning, often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Descend into the crater, marvelling at its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, encountering a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of the crater before continuing your game drive.
In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After a delicious breakfast, you'll depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its stunning baobab trees and large elephant herds. The scenic drive will take you through the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania, providing glimpses of local life along the way. Upon arrival at Tarangire, embark on an exciting game drive to explore the park's diverse habitats and wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you search for lions, leopards, giraffes, and more amidst the savannah and acacia woodlands. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the park's natural beauty before continuing your safari adventure.
In the afternoon, you'll have more opportunities to spot wildlife as you traverse Tarangire's expansive plains. As the day draws to a close, head back to Arusha or the airport.
